We invest funds for the pension plans of the federal public service, the Canadian Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Reserve Force. Headquartered in Ottawa, PSP Investments has its principal business office in Montréal and offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

Capturing and leading complex global investments requires us to work as one to seize valuable opportunities, in close collaboration with some of the world’s top companies. At PSP Investments, you’ll join a team of motivated and engaged professionals, dedicated to propelling our organization further than ever before.

Inside the Program

Understand how the rotation and mentorship will run.

PSP Investments (“PSP”) is a leading global institutional investor, with c.C$300 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025, and a diversified portfolio across asset classes, geographies and sectors. We invest funds for the pension plans of the federal public service, the Canadian Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Reserve Force. Headquartered in Ottawa, PSP Investments has its principal business office in Montréal and offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

PSP has meaningful presence in Asian private equity (current exposure of c.C$5 billion), having made commitments to several private equity funds and completed multiple direct/co-investments in the region, with robust investment activity expected going forward. This is truly a unique opportunity to join a dynamic regional office of a globally established investment firm.

We are seeking a Senior Manager to support the private equity team on all aspects of the private equity investment process and portfolio monitoring. The position is in our Hong Kong office (opened in 2019), as part of the Asia private equity team covering primary commitments to private equity funds as well as direct/co-investments across Asia. The selected candidate will gain exposure to high deal velocity/variety and a significant level of responsibility, providing an excellent learning opportunity. The Senior Manager will have an opportunity to apply their investment knowledge across a wide array of sectors and geographies, with a focus on India but also broader Asia regional coverage.

The team is focused on fostering a collaborative culture and an energetic working environment while paying attention to work-life balance. Of note, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with PSP’s other offices in Montreal and London, and potential to work with other asset classes.

Lead preparation and present investment recommendation memorandums and other internal/external materials

Actively participate in the decision process of investment opportunities

Post-investment monitoring – lead post-investment monitoring activities and interact with portfolio companies’ management teams, potentially with a Board of Directors seat / observer role

Underwriting/monitoring primary fund investments, and building/maintaining relationships with key existing and prospective GPs

WHAT YOU’LL NEEDExcellent academic credentials: a business, economics or scientific degree is preferred, but other degrees will also be considered

Eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience across private equity, investment banking (leverage finance/M&A) or management consulting, preferably majority of which was spent within India private equity buyout space
