Overview

This global asset management firm is seeking a Junior Operations Intern to join their alternative investments team for a 6-month internship based in Geneva. You will support the operational activities of private equity and real estate funds, working within a dynamic five-person team split between Geneva and Luxembourg. This role offers direct exposure to alternative investment operations and the opportunity to work with institutional and private clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate orders in Avaloq system
  • Respond to operational requests including document provision and administrative follow-up
  • Provide support to investment teams and internal clients
  • Assist in coordinating with service providers including administrators and back office teams
  • Help verify delegated activities such as NAV calculations and reporting under supervision
  • Participate in occasional and recurring projects as required by the team

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial environment, ideally in fund management or with an asset manager
  • Basic knowledge or initial exposure to alternative investments (private equity, real estate, hedge funds) preferred
  • Knowledge of Avaloq system advantageous but not required
  • Resourceful, rigorous, and organized with strong adaptability skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and standard IT tools
  • Good command of both French and English, spoken and written
  • Available to start as soon as possible
  • Current resident of Switzerland or willing to relocate
