Overview

This mid-cap private equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Intern to join its Milan office for up to 6 months. The role offers comprehensive exposure to private equity investment activities across multiple sectors, including LBOs and minority equity deals. You will work as an integral member of the deal team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of private equity transactions within an international, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and refining financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including leveraged buyouts and other relevant analyses
  • Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to identify key risks, opportunities, and trends
  • Review financial statements, assess operational performance, and evaluate management teams as part of due diligence processes
  • Contribute to the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for the investment committee
  • Support identification and screening of potential investment opportunities through deal sourcing and origination activities
  • Help manage transaction execution processes, including liaising with advisors and preparing relevant documentation
  • Perform in-depth industry research and market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging sectors

Skills & Experience

  • Strong quantitative skills and financial modeling capabilities
  • On-time delivery mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and professional maturity
