Join the Investment team at a global infrastructure private equity firm focused on digital infrastructure development across Europe. This internship offers direct exposure to corporate strategy, financial modeling, and high-value investment decisions within the rapidly expanding data center sector. You will work alongside Investment Associates, Managers, and senior team members on strategic analyses, market research, and stakeholder materials that drive the firm\'s growth and funding strategy.

The firm pursues M&A transactions, greenfield acquisitions, and follow-on investments across existing campuses while managing a multi-source funding strategy spanning both debt and equity. This role provides exceptional learning opportunities in finance, infrastructure, and valuations within a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

Funding Strategy:

  • Support development and monitoring of debt financing strategy
  • Stay current on capital market conditions affecting the business
  • Track capital market conditions and monitor peer activity in structured finance

Growth Strategy:

  • Assist in underwriting new investment opportunities including market research, data processing, benchmarking, and preliminary financial modeling
  • Prepare and structure internal presentations
  • Assist in coordinating due diligence alongside internal teams and external advisers
  • Contribute to valuation exercises under supervision of the Investment Manager

Corporate Strategy:

  • Assist with materials for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors
  • Support updates of the group\'s business plan model including data checks, projections, and scenario testing
  • Perform ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses as required

Skills & Experience

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a master\'s degree in engineering, finance, economics, management, or related field
  • Previous internship in finance, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure, real estate, or consulting preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
  • Basic understanding of financial modeling and valuation including DCF and comparables
  • Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks

Personal Attributes:

  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a demanding environment
  • Fluency in English; French or another European language is a plus
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and sense of responsibility
