Overview

This is a senior leadership role within the Investment Advisory function of a well-established financial institution operating across the MENAT region. As Team Head – Investment Advisory, you will carry full responsibility for the performance, quality, and development of a team of Investment Advisors spanning junior to senior grades. The position sits at the intersection of client-facing advisory work and team leadership, requiring both deep investment expertise and the ability to drive commercial outcomes through your team.

You will work closely with Relationship Managers and key clients on complex investment matters, while also assuming quality assurance oversight for all advisory activity produced by your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist investment advice and support to Relationship Managers and advisory clients across asset classes and investment products.
  • Grow investment assets under management by identifying investment opportunities, supporting client acquisition, and driving investment-related income.
  • Manage client investment accounts by preparing Client Investment Profiles and Investment Policy Statements, monitoring client profiles, and ensuring trades are properly executed and recorded.
  • Conduct portfolio performance reviews, analyse asset allocation and suitability, and recommend investment switches or new investment ideas.
  • Act as a primary client contact for complex investment discussions, enhancing client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop the Investment Advisory team by overseeing day-to-day activities, driving revenue targets, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team capability development.
  • Assume quality assurance responsibility for all investment advice and related work produced by team members.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of financial services experience, including at least 5 years in investment-related roles.
  • 3–5 years of Private Banking experience with a strong investment focus is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, services, pricing, legal provisions, and delivery processes.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, equity and bond markets, unit trusts, and personal investment services.
  • Solid specialist expertise in investment theory, securities dealing, foreign exchange trades, and treasury-related procedures.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing large and diverse teams and developing team capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Russian is required for this role.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A senior leadership position with full team ownership and direct influence over advisory quality and commercial performance.
  • Exposure to a broad and sophisticated client base across a strategically significant region.
  • Access to professional development opportunities designed to accelerate career progression.
  • Competitive rewards, benefits, and a flexible working policy that supports hybrid and remote working arrangements.

Application Process

Candidates are encouraged to review the responsibilities and requirements outlined above and apply if their skills and experience are a strong match for this role. Applications should reflect relevant investment advisory and leadership experience clearly.
