Overview

This is a 4-to-6-month internship opportunity with an independent, human-scale asset manager specialising in equity fund management, based in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The firm manages approximately €4 billion in assets on behalf of private clients, institutional investors, and wealth management advisers, with a fundamental analysis and company valuation approach at the core of its investment strategy.

Starting from September 2026, the Junior Compliance Officer intern will gain broad exposure to the compliance and internal control function, working across market abuse surveillance, financial security, and second-level internal control. Reporting directly to the RCCI (Compliance and Internal Control Officer), the role offers meaningful visibility across teams and a genuine opportunity to contribute to live compliance activities within a growing firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prevent, and support risk management activities across compliance dimensions
  • Contribute to compliance tooling projects, including IT systems and procedural documentation
  • Participate in the monitoring of compliance alerts and the handling of business-side requests
  • Support the compliance validation process for new client onboarding, including AML/CFT and sanctions screening, as well as client file updates in the context of fund reopenings
  • Produce comprehensive control reports as part of the ongoing control plan
  • Contribute to the synthesis of control findings for senior management and to the preparation of regulatory reports

Skills & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a higher education programme in economics or management; a Master\'s degree from an engineering school, business school, or university with a specialisation in audit, banking, or finance is an advantage
  • A first experience in compliance, financial security, internal control, or audit — ideally within the asset management industry — is a plus
  • Proficiency in English is an advantage
  • Strong command of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Personal qualities: discretion and respect for confidentiality; precision, rigour, and autonomy; intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness; strong analytical and synthesis skills; effective communication and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Why This Role Stands Out

The size and structure of the asset manager means interns gain unusually broad exposure to the full scope of compliance and internal control activity, rather than being confined to a narrow workstream. Direct reporting to the RCCI and close collaboration with investment and operational teams provide strong professional visibility from the outset of the placement.

Application Process

Candidates interested in this internship should submit their application by email to [email protected], indicating \"Stage Junior Compliance Officer\" in the subject line.

  • Start date: From September 2026
  • Duration: 4 to 6 months
  • Location: Paris 8th arrondissement
