This is a 6-month off-cycle internship within the Private Investments team of a global private equity firm based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The firm operates with a permanent capital structure, investing across the capital spectrum in both private and public markets, with a focus on high-quality and deep-value businesses. A competitive base salary is offered, along with the possibility of a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship, subject to performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Due Diligence: Assist in evaluating pipeline investment opportunities and drafting presentations for the Investment Committee. Participate in due diligence processes, including preparing and reviewing transaction materials with a focus on PowerPoint presentations for various stakeholders.
- Deal Execution: Support the execution of transactions by preparing investment memos, presentations, and transaction documentation. Coordinate time-sensitive processes and contribute to client-facing situations.
- Investment Analysis: Work alongside Analysts and Associates to build financial models for potential investments, including projections, return analyses, and sensitivity scenarios.
- Market Research: Monitor private equity market trends, emerging investment themes, and industry developments, ensuring presentation materials reflect current information.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track the performance of existing investments and assist in preparing portfolio reports and internal performance updates.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
- At least 6 months of full-time work experience.
- Demonstrated academic excellence — minimum 3.5 GPA, 2:1 Honours, or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical ability and rigorous attention to detail.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, energy, and a genuine interest in private equity, private credit, and alternative investments.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team environment.
