The Role

The Head of Compliance and AML leads the compliance and anti-money laundering functions across the organisation. The position sits at director level and requires both strategic oversight and hands-on operational management to ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations within banking and financial services.

• Setting and maintaining the compliance framework across the organisation
• Leading the AML programme, including policies, controls, and monitoring
• Ensuring adherence to Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements, including SAMA guidelines
• Overseeing compliance risk assessments and internal reporting
• Managing relationships with regulators and responding to regulatory enquiries
• Building and developing the compliance and AML team
• Advising senior management and the board on compliance matters

Expected Profile

• Significant experience in compliance and AML within banking or financial services
• Prior experience at a senior or head-of-function level
• Strong working knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations and SAMA requirements
• Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory relationships directly
• Experience building or restructuring compliance frameworks
• Relevant professional qualifications in compliance, AML, or financial regulation would be expected
• Based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
