About the Role

A venture capital firm focused on early-stage consumer brands is hiring an Investment Associate to join its Manhattan-based team. The firm backs disruptive consumer companies across food, beverage, household, and lifestyle categories. This role is designed for someone who wants to develop as an investor, not simply support one, with meaningful responsibility from day one across sourcing, diligence, and portfolio engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively source early-stage consumer brand investment opportunities before they reach broad market awareness
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, operators, and others across the consumer ecosystem
• Conduct investment diligence, including financial and qualitative analysis of prospective portfolio companies
• Contribute to investment decisions and internal discussions on deal evaluation
• Support portfolio companies on an ongoing basis post-investment
• Track emerging consumer trends and develop informed, grounded perspectives on brand potential

Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or a comparably rigorous analytical role
• Strong financial and quantitative analytical skills
• Genuine interest in consumer brands, with the ability to identify emerging trends and articulate a point of view on brand trajectory
• Comfortable with cold outreach and proactive relationship-building
• Intellectually curious, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
• Able to work in-office in Manhattan four days per week

Compensation

Compensation is competitive with market rate for the role and level.
