The Role
The consulting firm is seeking a Head of Client Investment and Advisory to join its investment advisory practice based in DIFC, Dubai. This is a full-time, senior leadership position within a DFSA-regulated firm. The successful candidate will lead the investment advisory function, set strategic direction for the department, and take direct responsibility for delivering high-quality investment solutions to a diverse client base that includes high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership for the investment advisory department, ensuring alignment with the firm\'s goals and objectives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive investment and advisory strategy designed to meet the financial goals of the firm\'s clients.
- Oversee the development and implementation of investment strategies, asset allocation models, and portfolio construction methodologies tailored to individual client needs.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to formulate and execute the firm\'s broader business strategy, identifying growth opportunities and managing market risks.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of investment and research advisors, setting clear performance objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and client-centricity.
- Liaise with senior leadership to review and support the achievement of sales and revenue targets for relationship managers.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, investment managers, custodians, and industry professionals to enhance the firm\'s reputation and service offering.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the firm\'s investment products, fund structures, and wealth management services, and provide guidance to client relationship managers on suitable investment strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with DFSA regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and ethical standards across all investment advisory activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and onboard new clients, leveraging the firm\'s value proposition and competitive positioning.
- Assume direct responsibility for managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, delivering bespoke investment advice and solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business partners and custodians on all investment and advisory matters.
DFSA Conduct Obligations
The role carries individual conduct responsibilities under DFSA principles. The appointed individual will be required to:

- Observe proper standards of conduct in financial markets.
- Deal with the DFSA in an open and cooperative manner and make appropriate disclosures as required.

Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in private banking, investment advisory, or wealth management, with a demonstrable track record in managing high-net-worth clients.
- Proven success in a senior leadership role within an investment advisory firm or comparable financial institution.
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management strategies across multiple asset classes.
- In-depth understanding of DFSA regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, and risk management practices within the private banking industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive informed investment decisions.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
- Proven ability to drive growth, manage change, and optimise operational efficiencies within an investment advisory environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An advanced degree or professional qualification such as an MBA or CFA is highly desirable.
- All required licences and certifications as stipulated by DFSA regulatory guidelines must be held at the time of appointment.
