The Role

A family office affiliated with a conglomerate in Dubai is hiring a Senior Associate for MENA Equities Research. The role supports investment decision-making across regional public equity markets. The person will work directly with the portfolio manager and CIO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental research and analysis on listed companies across GCC and MENA markets.
  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations.
  • Monitor market trends, earnings releases, sector developments, and macroeconomic factors affecting investment performance.
  • Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to senior investment stakeholders.
  • Meet with company management teams, industry experts, and market participants to gather insights and validate investment theses.
  • Identify new investment opportunities across Financial Services, Real Estate, Industrials, Consumer, Energy, Utilities, Telecommunications, and Transportation.
  • Work with portfolio management teams to evaluate portfolio positioning, risk exposures, and performance drivers.
  • Track regulatory, economic, and geopolitical developments across the region and assess their impact on investment opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 10 or more years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, asset management, or portfolio management.
  • Strong coverage experience in UAE, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, GCC, or wider MENA equity markets is mandatory. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be shortlisted.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling and valuation methodologies including DCF, relative valuation, and other investment frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Eikon, and MS Office.
  • Arabic language skills are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be shortlisted.
  • Candidates may be based anywhere in the GCC, provided they have strong experience covering regional equity markets.
