The Role

The global investment bank is hiring a Senior Manager for its DCM & Loan Syndications team in Dubai. The role covers loan syndication transactions from origination through execution, alongside relationship management with issuers and market participants. The position reports to and works in coordination with the Head of DCM & Loan Syndications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with issuers and market participants, working alongside account managers to expand the loan syndication business and meet periodic revenue and fee targets.
• Structure and deliver financial solutions for clients including flow loans, secured and unsecured syndicated facilities, acquisition finance, and capex financing.
• Lead transactions on behalf of the bank within lending consortia, including coordination and negotiations with external stakeholders.
• Provide LCM, DCM, and ESG-related solutions as part of the financial structures advised to clients.
• Cross-sell treasury solutions, particularly rate solutions, as part of financing mandates.
• Develop client pitches covering underwriting, refinancing, and balance sheet restructuring solutions, aligned with market appetite and internal credit risk parameters.
• Conduct market sounding exercises to identify new debt market opportunities in both LCM and DCM, and benchmark pricing for underwriting mandates and proposed transactions.
• Act as a key contact for market participants and work toward building a syndicate desk capability for the bank over the medium term, supporting sell-down requirements.
• Lead commercial negotiations, in consultation with the Head of DCM & Syndications, to structure transactions including security and covenant packages in line with LMA standards and market practice.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of legal documentation to engage external parties and obtain internal clearances from legal and credit divisions.
• Manage and supervise transaction timelines, internal approvals, and legal reviews across all prospects and live transactions.
• Draft and finalise pitch books, information memoranda, term sheets, proposals, investor presentations, and market updates.
• Contribute to the DCM & Loan Syndication business plan, identifying financing opportunities among existing and prospective clients.
• Support and guide junior team members through deal processes, including time management from pitch to execution.
• Monitor capital markets developments to identify business opportunities and contribute to cross-selling initiatives.
• Comply with internal audit requirements and policy guidelines.

Skills & Experience

• Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or Business Management/Administration. Required.
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA) or professional qualification such as CFA or CA. Preferred.
• Minimum 10–12 years of total experience, with at least 5–6 years in loan syndication transactions as a senior transactor at an international or large regional bank with an established DCM and syndication business.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle LMA documentation and conduct negotiations with clients and market participants.
• Prior experience leading deals involving multiple external stakeholders in a team leader capacity.
