The Role

The Finance Business Partner is based in Riyadh and sits within the automotive division of a global company. The role covers monthly financial close, cost management, cash flow oversight, financing solutions, and internal controls. Reporting and compliance are aligned to Group-level policies and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including accurate transaction recording, review of provisions, and compliance with Group Accounting Policies.
  • Provide monthly financial reviews with trend analysis and actionable recommendations to support business performance management.
  • Monitor costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement efficiency initiatives without disrupting business operations.
  • Challenge spend with business stakeholders and support informed decision-making on cost discipline.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, incorporating cost optimization assumptions and initiatives.
  • Conduct order studies for optimal ordering.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory, and petty cash activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and internal control integrity.
  • Manage cash flow through control of receivables, payables, and inventory cycles.
  • Liaise with Group functions and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group policies and governance requirements.
  • Manage intercompany funding arrangements, including accurate accounting, timely settlements, and compliance with Group Treasury guidelines.
  • Coordinate funding requirements with Group Treasury to support cash flow planning and liquidity management.
  • Structure and formalize customer financing solutions, including review and approval of Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees.
  • Support the BU Finance Controller in principal financing arrangements and negotiations with banks and financial institutions.
  • Assist in the issuance, amendment, and management of Letters of Credit, including risk assessment, documentation, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Establish and continuously improve internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, delegated authorities, and Group governance standards.
  • Perform periodic reviews and testing of key financial and operational controls, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Promote a control and compliance culture through guidance, training, and collaboration with business teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified in Finance or Accounting: CA, CPA, or ACCA required.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience working with global finance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
