The asset manager Associate supports the asset manager & Business Ethics function at the asset manager, with a primary focus on investment asset manager. The role contributes to monitoring investment activities, supporting regulatory initiatives, conducting asset manager reviews, and reinforcing a culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the organisation\'s asset manager and business ethics programme.
- Conduct asset manager reviews and monitoring activities to assess adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
- Monitor investment activities and ensure asset manager with applicable investment guidelines and regulatory obligations.
- Review and assess asset manager matters related to investment products, mandates, and financial market activities.
- Support regulatory assessments and assist in implementing regulatory developments affecting the organisation.
- Assist in preparing asset manager reports, management updates, and regulatory communications.
- Support the development, maintenance, and periodic review of asset manager-related policies and procedures.
- Assist in managing asset manager records, disclosures, and documentation.
- Support employee awareness and training initiatives relating to asset manager and business ethics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide asset manager guidance and support business objectives.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Finance, Investments, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in investment asset manager, asset management, investment operations, financial services asset manager, risk management, internal audit, or a related field.
- Prior experience within an investment management company, asset manager, investment firm, pension fund, sovereign wealth fund, or other regulated financial institution is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of investment management, financial markets, and investment products, including portfolio management concepts.
- Knowledge of asset manager and regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services.
- Ability to review, interpret, and apply regulatory and business requirements with sound professional judgement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ethical standards and integrity.
- Professional certifications in investments, asset manager, governance, or risk management are an advantage.
